PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

UNI-TEX is a permanently flexible, high-build acrylic textured coating system that provides long-term water-proofing and impact resistance. It is unique in its high elongation characteristics, which allows for application to a wide range of substrates. UNI-TEX is a systems product incorporating, as required, insulation board, basecoat, fabric, a 100% acrylic finish coat and other products further described in separate Master Guide Specifications literature.

UNI-TEX is applied only by Certified Applicators. The attractive, stucco-look finish forms a weatherproof barrier against the effects of wind-driven rain, intense UV, abrasion and other weather extremes. This durable, color stable wall system can be applied by spray or trowel to achieve a wide variety of finish textures. All UNI-TEX components utilize water-based, 100% acrylic resins for permanent flexibility and color stability. It conforms to all federal, state and local air pollution standards, VOC requirements and building codes. UNI-TEX is listed by ICBO under Report #5120.

BASIC USES

UNI-TEX provides a tough, weatherproof, aesthetically pleasing stucco-look finish over various types of insulation board, masonry, brick, concrete, stucco and approved exterior wallboard surfaces. New construction utilizing any of the above substrates will be more economical and durable with a flexible UNI-TEX finish. Existing substrates can be totally retrofitted to achieve a dramatic new look with the UNI-TEX System. It is equally effective on commercial or installations. UNI-TEX finish coats are typically applied by trowel, although several types of spray equipment can also be used. Standard texture formulations available include: Striato Swirl finish, Planato coarse sand finish, Capri fine sand finish, Veneto medium sand finish and Cortina trowel texture. Various tools can be used to create many other attractive, customized texture designs commonly associated with stucco.
