Welcome to UNITED COATINGS, and
thank you for your interest in our products. Our
slogan, "Longevity By Design", is more
than a reflection of our coatings, whose successful
performance in diverse applications throughout
the world speak for themselves. It also defines
our company, which for over 80 years—through
economic, social and environmental change—remains
at the forefront of polymer coatings technology.
And finally, it reflects our commitment to future
generations that we are doing our part to ensure
the preservation of our planet.
Since our founding as a local
paint and hardware store in 1919, UNITED COATINGS
has expanded to serve our customers with field
offices, technical service and representation on
an international basis.
After encountering difficulty
acquiring paint from our supplier during World
War II, we began manufacturing our own. As coatings
technology evolved during the 1950's and 60's,
and expanded through the 70's and 80's, UNITED
developed a wide range of high performance systems,
including numerous elastomeric rubbers.
UNITED continues to be a leader
in the protective coatings market, supplying a
full line of Roofing, Architectural and Industrial
products. The key to our success is solving difficult
surface protection problems using a creative, in-depth
research and marketing approach. Our Technical
Service Department is second to none, with over
90 years of combined experience. Our network of
field offices, warehousing, representatives and
distributors assure our customers of expedient,
on-site service when and where it's needed.
UNITED'S Research and Development
staff are recognized industry experts in elastomeric
polymer chemistry and protective coatings technology.
Our laboratories and production facilities are
among the finest in the industry. We utilize only
premium quality raw materials, in combination with
state-of-the-art production techniques, to ensure
the long-term performance of our coatings systems.
Attention to detail in our quality control lab
assures our customers of receiving quality they
can rely on with every batch. As further testimony
of our commitment to quality, our corporate headquarters
and manufacturing facility in Greenacres Washington
is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
At UNITED COATINGS, we are very
conscious of our impact on the environment, and
proud of the recognition we have received for our
community and environmental efforts. We are recipients
of the "Make a World of Difference" award,
presented by the City of Spokane for recycling
excellence. Our local Chamber of Commerce has honored
UNITED COATINGS with the "Adjourn Award",
for recognition as a business of the year, as well
as a BEST Award—Building An Environmentally
Sustainable Tomorrow—for excellence in pollution

UNITED recently became the only
company to receive the Environmental Protection
Agency's "Evergreen Award" for a second
time, recognizing our continuing environmental
excellence and leadership. We also joined an elite
group of businesses in winning the "Pollution
Prevention Award" from the Association of
Washington Business, and were singled out by the
Department of Ecology to receive a "Best Business
Award" based on our outstanding waste reduction
and recycling efforts.
